1. Introduction
Treat Dog Memories ("Treat") is operated by KONA TECH VENTURES LLC ("we," "us," or "our").
Treat helps dog owners organize and preserve their dogs' photos, memories, notes, and care information in one place.
We believe personal memories and pet information should remain private and under the owner's control.
This Privacy Policy explains how Treat handles your information, including what remains on your device, how analytics are collected, and the choices available to you.
2. Information You Add to Treat
When using Treat, you may add or organize:
- Your dog's name, breed, birthday, and profile information.
- Photos and associated metadata, including dates.
- Memories, descriptions, and personal notes.
- Care information, including vaccinations, veterinary visits, and health-related records.
- Documents, including PDFs.
Your personal Treat information is stored locally on your iPhone and is not uploaded to external servers.
Treat references photos and documents already stored on your device rather than uploading copies of those files to external storage.
Treat does not require account creation or sign-in.
3. Photo Access and On-Device Processing
Treat may request permission to access your photo library to help identify and organize photos of your dog.
When you grant access:
- Treat uses Apple's Core ML technology to identify photos that may contain dogs.
- Photo scanning and recognition occur entirely on your iPhone.
- Your photos are not sent to external AI services for recognition or analysis.
- Treat may use available photo metadata, such as dates, to organize memories.
- You can manage or revoke Treat's access to your photo library through your iPhone settings.
Treat does not provide our team with access to your personal photo library.
4. How We Use Information
Treat uses the information you add to provide its features, including:
- Organizing your dog's memories into a chronological Timeline.
- Displaying information about your dog.
- Managing notes, Care records, and documents.
- Helping you find and revisit information you have saved.
We do not use your personal photos, notes, or Care records for advertising or AI model training.
5. Analytics and App Improvement
Treat uses Firebase Analytics / Google Analytics to understand how people use the app and improve the product experience.
We collect information about interactions within Treat, such as:
- Screens viewed.
- Onboarding progress and completion.
- Photo import and scanning activity.
- Feature usage, including memories, notes, and Care functionality.
- General engagement and retention patterns.
These analytics help us understand which features are useful and identify areas for improvement.
Treat does not require user accounts and does not intentionally associate analytics events with your name, email address, personal photos, notes, or Care records.
Firebase Analytics may automatically collect certain technical information, such as app-instance identifiers, device information, and usage events, as part of providing analytics functionality.
We do not use analytics information for targeted advertising or cross-app advertising tracking.
6. Information Sharing and Third-Party Services
Treat does not sell your personal information.
We do not share your private photos, notes, Care records, or documents with advertisers or external AI services.
We use Google Firebase Analytics as a technology service provider to understand product usage and improve Treat.
Google may process usage and technical information in connection with providing analytics services.
Your personal photos, notes, and Care records are not shared with Google Analytics for content analysis.
Treat does not currently offer public posting or social sharing of personal content.
7. Data Storage and Security
Your personal Treat content is stored locally on your iPhone.
Photos and PDFs remain in their original locations on your device, while Treat maintains local references and organizational information.
Members of the Treat team cannot access personal content stored within your application, whether it was added manually or through the photo-scanning process.
Locally stored information benefits from the security features provided by your iPhone and its operating system.
No electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Your Choices, Data Retention, and Deletion
You control the information you add to Treat.
You may edit or delete supported content directly within the application.
You may also change or revoke photo-library permissions through your iPhone settings.
Because Treat does not provide user accounts, there is no account-deletion process.
When you uninstall Treat, the app's locally stored information and organization are removed. Your original photos and documents remain in their original locations on your iPhone.
We may retain historical app usage analytics collected through Firebase Analytics to understand product performance and improve Treat.
You can contact us at the email address below with questions or requests concerning your data, including deletion requests, which we will handle in accordance with applicable law.
9. Children's Privacy
Treat is designed for dog owners and is not specifically directed to children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Treat evolves, including when we introduce new features or modify our information practices.
When changes are made, we will update the date at the top of this document.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.

This section covers the Treat website, separate from the app.
- If you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you enter, and any answers you choose to give in the short follow-up survey. We use them to contact you about access to Treat and to understand what people want from it.
- Waitlist and survey submissions are collected through Netlify Forms, our website host.
- The website uses Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they view.
- We do not sell the information collected through the website.
